Misc Adventures x Millican Blank Canvas Rucksack

It's with great excitement that we can announce the launch of our 'Blank Canvas' rucksack made in collaboration with outdoors carry experts, Millican.

Our blank canvas conversation with Millican started over a year ago during the Keswick Mountain Festival. A few months later, we returned to the Lake District and Millican HQ for a weekend of campfires, cave exploration and hiking to help inspire us to develop a bag that best represented what we do here at Miscellaneous Adventures - the results of which we can finally share with you today.

Using 'Woodland Connections' as our starting point, the original blank canvas pack has been adapted to carry the tools and equipment we take on our everyday explorations into the woods. Compression straps have been added for external load carrying, allowing an axe to be strapped to the pack or a tarp and bivvy bag for overnight encounters with nature.

The fabric is made from 40 recycled plastic bottles – a conscious choice – and is fully waterproof.

A custom leather patch designed by us has been added, with a natural leather colour set against the Miscellaneous Adventures brand blue. Inside the recycled lining is a bright wild flower yellow to help make essential items easier to find. Each pack also comes with a limited edition woven patch and illustrated nature card inside.

There's also an external hidden, padded and waterproof laptop sleeve (up to 15”) which also provides a good home for maps and field guides. A small external zipped pocket and multiple internal pockets add organisation and ease of access to your tools. We think it makes the perfect day bag or overnight microadventure companion.

As part of this project we had the honour of being filmed going about our daily woodland business by Sim Warren. We hope you enjoy a glimpse into our lives and what drives us to keep exploring and doing what we do.

It’s been a real pleasure to work with Millican on the project; a company that shares our values of sustainability and creative thinking and one that seeks to encourage others to experience mindful encounters with the world around us through travel and adventure in the great outdoors.

A big thank you to Jorrit and Jeff from Millican for inviting us to work on this project, it's been a great journey and we look forward to more adventures along the trail.

We hope you enjoy the results and would love to hear what you think. You can buy the blank canvas pack and start your own woodland connection over on the store.
