The Rolling Home - The Culture of Vanlife

We’re super excited to share with you the latest publication from our good friends, Calum and Lauren of The Rolling Home. Thier new book, ‘The Culture of Vanlife’ is a documentation of all things camp vehicle told through the personal accounts of van dwellers, dreamers and adventurers. We jumped at the chance to be involved and contributed embroidery, illustrations and photography as well as writing some words celebrating the joy of Japanese vans and in particular our beloved Mitsubishi Delica. Here’s a little taster of the article…

“Perhaps best described as a 4x4 MPV, visually the Delica reminded me of kei vans, tall, narrow, slightly squashed in appearance, oddly cute, yet menacing at the same timeEvery time I see the Delica parked on the drive, it makes me smile. Our van has transcended its ability to ferry people and things from one place to another and become something we are emotionally attached to. Something that reminds us of our time living in the mountains of Japan 12 years ago. Something that reminds us to always seek new experiences and adventure.”

The book is crammed full of vanspiration, and offers the opportunity to ‘lose yourself in personal accounts of inspiring road trips. Explore the culture, vehicles, people, places and future of vanlife.’

We’re really happy to be a part of this project and you can buy the book now from The Rolling Home site here.

Thanks again to Calum and Lauren for including us and we hope you’ll enjoy it!
