Fjällräven commissioned us to create a series of banners that could be displayed at the start and finish lines of the UK Classic, a three day trekking event taking place in the Lake District. The banner designs took inspiration from the Nature and scenery of the local area and especially the rivers, valleys, lakes, woodlands and mountains of the UK Classic route. Using recycled fabrics (including some of Fjällräven’s famous G1000), each banner was created using appliqué, a sewing technique where shapes are cut out of fabric and then sewn onto a background piece using a zigzag stitch on the sewing machine.
