After a visit during Emma's pregnancy in early 2016, we returned to the western fjords of Norway this year to introduce our now 10 month old son to the wild sights and sounds of Norway and to give ourselves the chance to further hike, explore and absorb the majesty of the Norwegian landscape.

Every spring, the woodland floor around our little barn explodes in a riotous display of purple as bluebell flowers emerge from their slumbering bulbs, covering nearly every inch of earth. Although we’ve witnessed this spectacle many times it never fails to astound. This year we decided to mark the occasion by camping out in the woods during peak bluebell season...
Read MoreThere’s nothing like the start of spring to inspire talks of a west country camping trip; after hearing rumours that fun waves, fine weather and good friends would all be making an appearance mid April we packed the truck, bundled up the baby and made an early morning start to Cornwall.

Read MoreYesterday was the first truly warm day of spring so far; In the evening I took a short walk around the woods, chasing the fading orange light and taking mental notes on the activity of the fallow deer, when I heard a crackling, popping sound coming from the canopy.
